September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Alex’s Lemonade Stand is a foundation created by a little girl who succumbed to her illness, but before she did, she pledged to help others by raising money through lemonade stands around the world. The foundation has raised well over a million dollars since it’s conception, but still has a goal of raising $1 Million Dollars with 1 Million Miles this September.

Childhood cancer is the leading cause of death by disease in the United States for children under 15 and every $40 raised funds an hour of research.
