Legendary MLB Athlete Tino Martinez, NFL Star Sam Darnold to Come to iPlay America

Freehold, N.J., November 2, 2018 – Four-time World Series Champion and Olympic gold medalist, Tino Martinez, and third-overall 2018 NFL draft pick and starting quarterback for New York’s “Team Green”, Sam Darnold, will be appearing at iPlay America. Martinez will be appearing on Saturday, November 10, and Darnold will be at iPlay America on Tuesday, December 11 for meet & greets with fans.

 

Tino Martinez is a two-time MLB All-Star with a Silver Slugger Award and Monument Park honoree at Yankee Stadium. Fans can spend the afternoon with world-champion Martinez as he recalls moments from his note-worthy career with the Seattle Mariners, New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals and Tampa Bay Rays. Doors will open on November 10 at 11:00 AM and the event will begin at 12:00 PM. VIP and photo-op ticket packages, as well as Q&A tickets are available for purchase. Sam Darnold is the current quarterback for New York’s “Team Green” and third-overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. Before being drafted to NY, Darnold played for the University of Southern California. IPlay America Freehold NJ

Today we visited IPlay America, an indoor theme park in Freehold, NJ.

It’s definitely misleading from the outside as it sits in a strip mall and looks like any other storefront.  Inside,  it’s huge!

Inside it’s made to mimic an outdoor boardwalk with arcades, stands,  and rides. It even has a boardwalk style floor.

The rides there aren’t for older kids,  but my kids ages 5 and 9 had a good time and went on just about all of them although my 5 year old needed an adult to ride most of the rides with him so I had a ride wristband too. We had the iRide plus bands, which include the larger rides like go karts and coaster.

The skywalk was extra credits and not included with the ride passes.  It’s 10 credits or $5 for kids under 42″ and they do the lower section.  20 credits or $10 for kids taller than 42″ and they go on the really high area.  They get strapped in and follow the path with the bar for safety.

I wouldn’t recommend this for any child who may be scared of heights.  My son got scared after the first beam and came right back down and they wouldn’t credit us back!20180311_122658.jpg

The bottom section is cute for very young kids, but there isn’t much to it.

The arcades are fun but unfortunately they do not let you win enough in my opinion.  The grab claw games are almost pointless as they do not pick up the items at all.

The game selection is great and tons of things my kids enjoy.  They won a little over 1,000 tickets and I like that they are loaded directly onto your point card. There isn’t much to choose from for prizes though, so we got a bunch of candy.

Overall, it’s a nice day out if you want to get out of the house and have that boardwalk feel when it’s not so nice weather out.

One of the best parts about iplay is yhe event area.  There are many decent priced shows for all ages including concerts and dinners. I highly recommend visiting the event area if you have a chance!

iPlay America – Laurie Berkner for 2 Concerts June 14

If you’re a mom to an infant or toddler and have Nick Jr. Running over and over on your T.V, odds are you have heard the song “5 Days old”. Personally, I love it! I think it’s so adorable and my boys love to song and dance to it. That’s why I am super excited that Laurie Berkner is performing all of her children’s songs at  iPlay America right here in NJ in June! Check out the official release below!

Freehold, NJ — iPlay America’s Event Center will welcome the “Queen of Children’s Music” Laurie Berkner to Freehold, N.J., June 14 for two concerts.

Berkner and her band play upbeat songs, written just for young children that get families dancing in the aisles and singing along. In addition to her own music, Berkner includes variations on familiar lullabies and songs that parents will recognize.

“Laurie Berkner brings the fun and wonderment of childhood to her concerts,” said Jessica Schwartz, director of marketing for iPlay America. “Her style and energy truly fits with everything iPlay America is about — family friendly entertainment.”
This is Berkner’s second appearance at iPlay America. After her first performance, she hosted her daughter’s birthday party there.

“Lucy’s party was a huge success. All the kids loved it and Lucy proclaimed it her best party ever,” Berkner said.

Dubbed the “Queen of Children’s Music” by People magazine, Berkner has recorded original children’s songs for more than 15 years. The New Jersey native has appeared on Nick Jr. and performed in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Her latest work includes a musical animated series “Sing It, Laurie!” on the preschool television channel Sprout.
