If you haven’t checked out www.dailygoodiebox.com yet and like free stuff then what are you waiting for?
You can see my long history with them in my blog and how each box gets better and better. No strings attached and yes they’re really FREE.
Just take a little time to review the product in your profile at their site and that’s it. The manufacturers value their customers feedback, and having it all laid out simply on www.dailygoodiebox.com makes it a one stop source for them and for you to get cool stuff free.
They have the most amazing brand partners featuring new and healthy items for everyone!
August’s box was a fun one! Here is what it included;
Much like a redbull but without the massive sugar count, and packed with iron this little drink is a nice pick me up.
Veroni – Iron Energy

Although the flavor isn’t the best, it’s nice to have a healthy energy alternative
RunGum – Energy Gum

Ive gotten Napz a few times from my goodie boxes over the years and I have to say, they certainly help give you a relaxing night sleep by calming you.
Napz – All-Natural Sleep Solution

I haven’t had to use this yet, but I kind of can’t wait to! I need an excuse ūü§£
BrightDay – Hangover Preventions

This is such a cute brand.  The outstanding packaging it comes in is worth it alone, but the nail polish color is just so cute and trendy. This is good enough to give as a gift if you can part with it.
Trust Fund Beauty – Nail Polish

These are cute little samples of Grandpa soaps. I love the witch hazel which naturally clarifies your hair folicals and scalp. It has the faintest smell, ordinarily I like a fragrant shampoo, but this was ok.
The Grandpa Soap Co – Witch Hazel Shampoo and Conditioner

Protein bars are sort if my arch nemesis.¬† Ive only met one brand that I liked, and sadly this isn’t it.¬† I love me some peanut butter, but the consistency on this is hard to swallow.¬† It might just be me being picky!
WOLO WanderBar – Peanut Butter Protein Bar
20180812_102443.jpg
The best tea! And oh so cute!
Teapigs – Rhubarb & Ginger Tea
20180812_102528.jpg
First of all, yes, an entire BOX of these came in my goodie box. How exciting! Unfortunately I am not a fan of blueberries so I had to spit this out after ther first bite (a little too bitter since it’s all natural) but my husband sure loved these. He ate the entire box of the 5 left in just 2 days. These equal vHealthy and happy husbands!
That’s it РApple + Blueberries Fruit Bar

Liberty Science Center Summer Fun: Dino Dig, Grossology, Arthur’s World, Planetarium and much more!

What a blast my boys and I had today at the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City New Jersey.

Today was a perfect day to be at the LSC. 75 and sunny for the morning and we got there bright and early to get a jump start on Dino Dig!

20180721_111058.jpgThis is a view looking down on the exhibit from the 4th floor. It’s a huge area of imagination and digging up REAL (ok, replica) Dinosaur bones!

We’ve been here before, but even though they’ve seen it, my boys still seemed to enjoy it just as if it was the first time again. Finding new dinosaurs, even dinosaurs eggs and poop!

20180721_095719.jpg

Not to mention, I cannot get enough of this view! You can pay big money for a view as close as this to the NYC skyline. Many parts of the center allow for outstanding views but the Dino Dig section is basically in its backyard.

20180721_094127.jpg20180721_100823.jpg

We wanted to also check out some of the featured exhibits on the third floor.¬† These are the limited time, see em’ while they’re hot, catch them if you can kind of exhibited so I suggest you get on in!

20180721_090855.jpg

Arthur’s World is pretty cute.¬† It is an entire large portion of the 3rd floor dedicated to the children’s show “Arthur”. Although my kids were never into the show, they’ve both read the books and appreciated this fantasy room where they got to feel like they were part of the show.

20180721_101925.jpg They got to pretend to be school teachers and students of the class. There were changes of clothes they can even wear to get into character.

20180721_101936

They also went “camping” and played house complete with a kitchen.

20180721_10253020180721_102756

They looked around and played however it might be more in tune with the younger crowd. 20180721_101726

The most popular new exhibit is the planetarium dome theater show theat runs every hour or so.¬† It is included with the LSC day pass, but I believe they’d like you to sign up for showtimes to avoid having to turn anyone away.

I remember seeing shows in this awesome dome theater as a child. It used to make me dizzy, and still does,- but it’s worth it!

20180721_114112.jpg

They have a few different shows all based on the solar system, we saw “beyond 2 worlds”.

My 6 year old was a bit nervous, gripping on to the seats because of the virtual reality like feeling you get. Eventually he settled down and enjoyed it.¬† Both kids and myself left with a huge smile and slight headaches and dizziness.¬† It’s a love/hate relationship!

Last but certainly not least, the awesome new exhibit GROSSOLOGY was so cool!

Having 2 boys, gross is a part of my daily vocabulary… this is not for the queezy people of the world.¬† Many boogers, burps and farts are thrown around this room.¬† Many..

20180721_103353.jpg

I think my favorite part of this exhibit was the lifesize, real life operation game.  Squishy organs you place one by one into a cartoon body, and then go to work getting a light flashing and buzzing if you even so much as tap the metal sides, just like the game!20180721_10481420180721_104653

They would stay in this exhibit for hours if I let them.

20180721_10395820180721_10344320180721_10550820180721_10375720180721_103906

Aside from the fun new exhibits, we hit up some of our old favorites too. The touch tunnel;

20180721_113715

20180721_112303

The animal exhibits!

20180721_11180320180721_11073720180721_11100220180721_111644

And so much more.

You definitely need a full day to really appreciate everything. There is a food court that you can stop and get a bite for lunch or dinner, so plan a full day here… see it all.

Take in all of the knowledge, fun, and views the Liberty Science Center has to offer. You’ll be happy you did!

Bendy and the Ink Machine Birthday Party

20180421_124403.jpg

Anyone else have a child who picks the most odd themes that they want for their birthday party?

My son dropped on me that he really wants to have a Bendy and the Ink Machine birthday party in our yard this year for his birthday next month.¬† And guess what,¬† there aren’t any party supplies at all for it at retail stores.

I know that he loves it,  and he watches the videos on you tube,  so guess what? This mommy has to do what mommy has to do to make it happen! Make it!

I decided to do like I did last year when he wanted to have a Five Nights at Freddy’s themed party and the were limited decorations to choose from.¬† Large cardboard cut outs! Very simple and the best part,¬† the kids can do most of the work. It isn’t child labor if they request to do it right??!? LOL. Just kidding.¬† He was so excited to get to work on it.

20180421_130140

The first step we did was getting the images to print out in a larger then one paper format. We used a free site called blockposters.com which helps you convert the images easily to multiple pages to create a poster.

Then we cut each piece of paper out and organized them together. 20180421_091641.jpg

Look how great my little boy was doing. Yes, he really did this all himself!

Then, we used anything we had around the house that can act as a sturdy back for the image. We had one piece of a gift box,  and some previously used shipping boxes that we cut to lay flat.

20180421_120605

Then you just glue each piece on order,  let them dry, and cut them out on the box.  We also cut eyes holes out so that the kids can use them as masks.

For the happy birthday banner,  I used my cricut explore and downloaded the banner file I liked for .99 cents.

I already had some cool vintage looking card stock on hand so it worked perfectly for this theme.

Also,  to make it more fit the theme, I printed some of the images I found online of the characters and cut them on sticker paper that you can get at any craft store.

It was a little time consuming,  but fun to put together.

Here are some pictures of the FNAF them cutouts and party we did last year!

2018 Toyota C-HR XLE Review

2018 Toyota C-HR XLE

IMG_20180406_140602_952

Check out the all new C-HR by Toyota. What a cool looking car right? Immediately I felt like it was a car of the future,¬† especially with the back door handles higher up then normal,¬† made it feel like a “special” vehicle that I’d feel proud to ride around town in.

My kids,  my husband,  and I went to Medieval Times  over the weekend in Lyndhurst NJ and took the 1 hour ride in style with this beauty.

FB_IMG_1523194895208

It has everything you’d expect from a 2018 vehicle,¬† blind spot monitoring,¬† large LCD touch screen with bluetooth capability,¬† heated seating,¬† and more, although navigation does not come standard which is interesting.

One thing that I found unique that may be a Toyota brand thing (this is my first time with a Toyota) is the back up camera comes up on the rear view mirror as opposed to what I am used to which is on the large LCD screen.

20180406_133939.jpg

See how small it is? Personally I am not a fan of this for a few reasons.¬† The number one reason being the picture is very small and grainy and I don’t quite get the point of it being there instead of a much larger viewing screen.¬† The second thing is,¬† as a mom,¬† while driving I have enough distractions with the kids fighting over things in the back seat,¬† It’s defintely a distraction to have to look into the rear view mirror foot the back up camera,¬† and in the right side is the actual mirror which you can see out of the back, yes, but you also see little heads bopping around and hands flailing about.¬† I guess I don’t really see the point of it IN the rear view mirror. Anyone?

I found myself not even using it and struggling to see out of the accrual mirror instead along with the turn your head to see technique which the back windows make it very hard to see out of since they’re small due to design.

I guess that’s a price to pay for external beauty.¬† The vehicle itself shines no matter where you go because it is so different in its design.

I thought my kids would have a hard time opening the back doors themselves but once I told them where the door handle was (I admit, I let them struggle for a bit trying to figure out where it was #badmom) they were able to open it pretty easily.

20180406_132936(0).jpg

Can you find the back door handle? LOL!

The inside front is much smaller then my husband and I are used to with me having a full size explorer, but it is roomy enough to get comfortable in after. Also,  surprisingly The back seat is much roomier than you would think.

My stepfather wanted to go for a ride in the back seat with my youngest and he raved about how comfortable he was back there even though it’s a small sized crossover.

20180406_133030(0).jpg

20180406_130919

From the back it looks like a small hatch back, but looks can be deceiving.

Here are the products in the March box;
These were better then I thought.¬† Ginger is really good for colds and coughs and has nutritional value but we seldom have it. These chews put it in a candy form,¬† but leave the nutrition and health benefits. Covered in confection sugar , these little individually packed chews aren’t so bad.
Prince of Peace – Ginger Chews with Mandarin Orange
20180307_132115.jpg
I always used to carry a tide-stick in my purse for on-the-go stain fighting super powers, but somehow I just stopped having one and I don’t remember why. . Maybe a villa super thief accidently pocketed it after asking to use it one day,¬† but I can’t be sure. What I can be sure of is how excited I was to find this earth friendly stain remover pen in the box this month!
Sun & Earth – Stain Remover Pen
20180307_132206.jpg
I was excited to try these protein packed little snacks but it wasn’t as good as I thought.¬† Very light on flavor.
Kay’s Naturals РSweet BBQ Snack Mix
20180307_132110
I was definitely not a fan of these.¬† Great concept of little power caffeine capsules available at your fingertips,¬† but the flavor was very odd. It says that it is wintergreen flavor,¬† which I did taste,¬† but there is an off aftertaste that tastes so powerfully like an artificial sweetener which I’m not a fan of.¬† If they can get the flavor right,¬† I’d definitely carry these little bad boys on me.
GoViter – Viter Energy Mints
20180307_132153
Herb Guru – Herbal Tea
20180307_132142.jpg
Hydralyte  РEffervescent Electrolyte Tablets
20180307_132214
Andalou Naturals – Renewal Face Cream Pods
20180307_132147.jpg
Prince & Spring – Organic Coconut Oil

Great box this month #Marchdailygoodiebox! I love trying a bunch of items that are new to market and healthier then the alternative choices.
Check out previous month boxes I’ve reviewed!

2018 Mazda 3 Vehicle Review

November 2018 was the 2017 NYC Play Fair¬† and I had to ride in style so #Mazda¬† hooked me up with this hotrod to take on the voyage across state lines. Ok, ok.. it’s only a 45 minute trip into NYC depending on traffic but I wanted that “dramatic” feel haha! And boy did they hook me up!

20171102_175622.jpg

I feel like I need to start by introducing you to the safety features of this fine beauty called the 2018 Mazda3.

As a mother of 2 boys, I live and breathe what is best for them and my family,¬† and being that we are in and out of it alot,¬† my car isn’t a choice I take lightly.

2018 Mazda Mazda3 Safety Features

  • Driver Air Bag
  • Passenger Air Bag
  • Front Head Air Bag
  • Rear Head Air Bag
  • Front Side Air Bag
  • 4-Wheel ABS
  • 4-Wheel Disc Brakes
  • Brake Assist
  • Electronic Stability Control
  • Daytime Running Lights
  • Child Safety Locks
  • Integrated Turn Signal Mirrors
  • Traction Control
  • Blind Spot Monitor
  • Cross-Traffic Alert

In addition to all of the important features listed above, you can turn on the car length guide that shows you if you’re tailgating the car in front of you which I find extremely useful.¬† You know us NJ drivers need to get where we’re going quickly and sometimes don’t notice we are tailgating until our husband’s yell at us (LOL!).

The interior of the 2018 Mazda3 is breathtaking.¬† They hit the nail on the head with this ivory and black combination interior… I mean just look at how stunning this looks.¬† Would you believe the 2018 starts at just under 20K??

20171102_175804.jpg

FB_IMG_1515201147934

This model came with a sunroof which i l love to keep the window closed but the screen open. Makes November seem like Spring time letting the sun in… when there is sun…

20171102_175820

20171102_175826.jpg

The heated seats, both driver and passenger are a huge bonus and to top it off, a heated steering wheel! ALWAYS GO WITH THE HEATED STEERING WHEEL! You can thank me later.

20171102_175759.jpg

20171102_175810.jpg

20171102_175749

The interface leaves a little to be desired in my opinion as they artyl haven’t gotten it right.¬† It’s 2018 and there isn’t a standard navigation package in this model which I found a bit odd with how luxurious everything else was.

Alao,¬† getting used to the center console controls takes a little but,¬† but once you get used to it,¬† it’s fine.

20171103_172134.jpg

Now onto the exterior. What more can I say,  such a stylish,  family friendly vehicle that works it in all the right places.

Check out this beauty in pearl white with aluminum alloy rims, halogen lights and sleek windows. Did I mention the grill is A-Maz-ingly intimidating yet beautiful? Zoom-Zoom!

See for yourself what the fus is about…

20171102_180349

20171102_175635.jpg20171102_175648.jpg

20171102_175846.jpg20171102_175852.jpg20171102_175610.jpg

The trunk folds down into the 2nd row for sects space if needed,  but even without doing that I wad amazed at how easily I fit my weekly HUGE grocery trip into it no problem.

Do you own a Mazda? Let me know what you think down below!
